Torridon Mini-Expedition

We will meet up at Ledgowan Lodge where we have a booking at the campsite. The campsite costs £5 per person per night for camper vans or tents. We will also have use of the bunkhouse facilities - including kitchen (which is small) and dining room. We will also have the advantage of an on site hotel bar. Dogs are welcome on this meet and are permitted on the campsite but not in the bar.

Ledgowan Lodge is located within 15 minute walk of Achnasheen train station which is about 1 hour 15 min from Inverness. We intend to spend a few days here with few day hikes before putting packs on our backs for few days camping and bothies. The plan is flexible and depends on what people want to do.

Possibilities include the some of the more spectacular Munros - Liathach, Beinn Eighe, Slioch and many more. Suggested maps Landranger 19, 20 & 25 or Explorer 433 & 435.

There are no big supermarkets in the area so please make bring your own camping food.

As this mini-expedition comes closer I will put people in touch with each other to make arrangements for food and transport.
