Lakes Winter Meet & AGM 2011

Post exped report!

What a wet weekend!  Regardless of risks of floods and very soggy walks, the AGM was well attended and included interesting pieces from David-Scott Langley on his work at Foula.

When: This was on Jan 14th – 16th 2011

What happened...

Our AGM and Annual Dinner was well attended with an enthusiastic core of members venturing out in the very wet and windy weather to start their walk at the top of the kirkstone pass. They battled their way back to Ambleside to appreciate a well deserved pint.

The AGM went to plan chaired by Trevor Roberts, with the addition of some fascinating presentations from David Scott-Langley on whis work with Foula and Anna Griffith on her work with the National Trust of Scotland.

Every one enjoyed reminiscing over the meets of 2010 and thumbing through carefully selected photos. There was enthusiasm for 2011 recces and club meets with volunteers for the various destinations. Saturday evening was capped with the traditional Ambleside curry which is becoming a firm BEG favourite!
