...Brathay Exploration Group Reunion Weekend and 2012 Programme Launch
Brathay Exploration Group members have worked very hard over the last few years to put together a new improved organisation with an exciting programme for 2012.
The weekend of 21st - 23rd October is our Reunion Weekend when members old and new can come and reminisce about past expeditions and make future plans. The weekend will be spent with various mountain activities with friends but the highlight will be the 2012 Programme Launch.
The Launch will be held upstairs in Esquires Cafe, Ambleside at 7pm. This will be a showcase of activities in recent years and an exciting preview for 2012. It will also be a networking opportunity, so whether you are a member looking for peer or leader lead expeditions, an interested party looking for leadership opportunities, a likeminded organisation or someone looking for likeminded people, there will be something for you. Either meet us there or at Shackleton Lodge to walk down (leaving at 6.20pm). Complementary light refreshments are provided or there is a licensed bar on site where you can purchase other drinks.

- If you require accommodation this will be £10 per person, per night at Shackleton Lodge.

- Please send cheques to Brathay Exploration Group, Brathay Hall, Clappersgate, nr Ambleside, Cumbria, LA22 0HP. Those whose cheques are received before 13th of October will be given a FREE T-SHIRT sporting our exciting new logo. Payment may be received at the weekend though T-shirts are currently only available to those who book by 13th October as they have to be ordered by this date. If you would like to buy microfleeces to be collected during this weekend please send £24 along with your booking form to arrive by 11th October.

Friday 21st October
- Arrive after 4pm
Saturday 22nd October
- Daytime - enjoy mountain activities with friends
- 7pm – 2012 Programme Launch, Esquires Cafe (upstairs), Ambleside. Meet at venue or walk down leaving Shackleton 6.20pm. Light refreshments provided and premises licensed downstairs
Sunday 23rd October
- Daytime – enjoy mountain activities / socialise with friends
- Shackleton must be cleaned and vacated by 3pm
Note – Cereals, porridge, milk, tea and coffee will be provided, otherwise the weekend is self-catering. You will also require a sleeping bag and pillow for use on the bunks.
