Aims: To meet NTS staff, familiarise ourselves with the properties, visit the project sites and get experience of the methodologies involved.  Also to look at possible wild camping sites.

Basic Recce Itinerary

Friday 9th September  
AM: meet Kate Sampson/Ranger Team intro. to property and discuss projects etc. – site visits with Kate.

Saturday 10th September   
Hill day – looking at Juniper transects and Ptarmigan population projects as well as recce of general hill walk options.  Recce route to Goatfell summit.

Sunday 11th September   
Hill day – looking at Juniper transects and Ptarmigan population projects as well as recce of general hill walk options.

Monday 12th September   
Glen Rosa – look at woodland exclosure regen project and possibly also the Black Grouse population project.  Summarise/collate findings of recce.
